After four years of producing The Shantytown Anomaly, I have decided to take an extended hiatus from publishing new issues. My career and family responsibilities are overwhelming right now and I am short on both time and money. It is my hope to resume publication in the future, or allow another editor to take over the magazine.
In the meantime, Issue #8 will be our last for a while, and it will begin shipping next week. Any work accepted or under consideration is now released to respective authors for publication elsewhere.
Thanks for the support over the years...

Dwarf Stars Out Now + Bonus Nomination
Dwarf Stars 2008 is now out, featuring the best short speculative poetry. We announced earlier that TSA got two nominations but as the book came out I noticed that TSA actually got three. Along with Berrien C. Henderson and John J. Dunphy, Stephen M. Wilson's poem "snipped, clipped and cut" is nominated for a Dwarf Stars Award. This poem was first published in The Shantytown Anomaly #6. Congratulations Stephen!

The Shantytown Anomaly has received two more Dwarf Stars nominations this year. Congratulations to John J. Dunphy for his poem "museum of alien religions," and Berrien C. Henderson for his poem, "Clone." Both were originally published in The Shantytown Anomaly #6, and will appear in the upcoming Dwarfs Stars anthology edited by Deborah P. Kolodji and Stephen M. Wilson.
Issues going out of print, last chance to order!
I recently took at look at the stock around here and noticed that three different issues of The Shantytown Anomaly will soon be gone. Currently all we have left of TSA #2, #3, & #5 are...
